Dedicated to the memory of Alan Davter
This site is a tribute to Alan Davter, who was born in Aylesbury on March 03, 1933. We have chosen to create this memorial page and fundraise for Sense in place of a memorial service which would be hard to hold during the pandemic. He is much loved and will always be remembered. Thoughts
Alan was such an inspiring example of how to be always in control but with a ready sense of humour. Alan earned great respect for his love of all humanity, his honesty ( did teams have to lose) his friendship and his understanding of others. An honour to have worked with Alan for two decades.

Jon and I knew Alan from the early 1960s when Jon and Alan met through school sports. Down the years we shared many happy occasions with the family. Alan was a very gifted man and a good friend. Gone but not forgotten.

I loved Alan's sense of humour. I enjoyed his sermons - I recall how pleased he was to be allocated the first in 1984. I appreciated his contribution to the choir. He was a kind, gentle man. Much missed.
